We are thrilled to introduce Healthy Parents Happy Kids, the premiere magazine focused on helping parents shape their children’s future. Our goal with Healthy Parents Happy Kids is to create a hub for community building and offer a forum for parenting news. Dedicated entirely to the betterment of the world of parenting, Healthy Parents Happy Kids operates on child-focused parenting.

We chose the name Healthy Parents Happy Kids because we want to emphasize the natural positive flow from parent to child that happens when parents increase their heart, brain, and body health. 

You had a parent and you either are a parent or considering joining the parenting ranks. We’ve all been there.  Waking up on day one with a newborn, facing the stress of the first public meltdown, dealing with chicken pox, vaccinations, junk food, monitoring social media, dating, friendship, marriage, grandparenting. You name it. It touches all of us. 

Most of us bump our way through the parenting years best we can. Healthy Parents Happy Kids is focused on helping parents understand how a child’s heart, brain, and body work, but we don’t stop there. We also want parents to understand how their own heart, brain, and body work, because the interaction between parents and children insists on understanding both.

As editors, we bring to the table our passion for our mutual interest in progressive parenting. What’s that mean? We will bring to you the best and most recent research and experts on the brain, heart, body. 

We met on a flight from the U.S. to Australia. The only two in the back row, we quickly discovered our mutual interest in neuroscience, conflict resolution, personality, parenting, nutrition, medicine, and so much more. Let’s just say we didn’t stop talking for most of the 15-hour flight. Hoe Bing (HB for short) is a medical doctor in Queensland, Australia, and I am a publisher, author and speaker on the topic of high-conflict personalities and complicated relationships. HB is a parent of a toddler and I am the parent of three “kids” in their twenties. 

Our vision for Healthy Parents Happy Kids is to help parents comprehend that everything they do impact their child’s future—their physical, mental, and emotional health. Healthy Parents Happy Kids will not shy away from controversy. Instead, when we feature biased or opinionated pieces, we will always try to represent both sides of the issue.
