Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology

Iraqi Meteorological Organization & Seismology is one of the Ministry of Transportation constitutions was found in 1923 by the British forces at the time under the name of Meteorological interest and set up three of the meteorological departments to serve military purposes in Mosel , Habaniya and sheaba  districts . In 1936, the administration moved into the hands of Iraqi under the civil Aviation administration and inside the Ministry of Defense formations. In addition, it was included department of air monitoring. In 1976, a law was issued by Ministry of Transportation and communication that invented Iraqi Meteorological Organization & Seismology independent of the civil aviation directorate. In 1990 section of monitoring added to be Iraqi Meteorological Organization & Seismolog

تعد الهيئة العامة للأنواء والرصد الزلزالي احدى تشكيلات وزارة النقل تأسست عام 1923 من قبل القوات البريطانية حينذاك تحت اسم مصلحة الانواء الجوية وانشأت ثلاث من دوائر الرصد الجوي لخدمة اغراضها العسكرية في كل من الموصل والحبانية والشعيبة . وفي عام 1936 انتقلت ادارتها الى ايدي عراقية تحت ادارة الطيران المدني وضمن تشكيلات وزارة الدفاع . وكانت تضم دوائر للرصد الجوي . وفي عام 1976 صدر قانون وزارة النقل والمواصلات بموجبه تم استحداث الهيئة العامة للأنواء الجوية مستقلة عن مديرية الطيران المدني وفي عام 1990 تم اضافة قسم الرصد الزلزالي الى الهيئة لتصبح الهيئة العامة للأنواء الجوية والرصد الزلزالي .


Iraqi Meteorological Organization & Seismology presents technical consultancy, which play a major role in economic projects and social changes more than its services in the field of weather forecasting and seismic monitoring depending on the information supplied by the Meteorological departments deployed in all provinces in Iraq that are now more forty one monitoring different weather elements.

وتقوم الهيئة العامة للأنواء الجوية والرصد الزلزالي بتقديم الأستشارات الفنية التي تؤدي دوراً كبيراً في المشاريع الأقتصادية والتغيرات الأجتماعية وكما تقدم خدماتها في حقل التنبؤات الجوية والرصد الزلزالي بالاعتماد على المعلومات التي تزودها بها دوائر الرصد الجوي المنتشرة في عموم محافظات العراق والذي يربو عددها حاليا على الاربعين دائرة والتي تقوم برصد العناصر الجوية المختلفة
