BeaconGo is compatible with iBeacon, a new technology that extends location services on your smartphone. This new technology makes use of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signal, and will revolutionize how retailers connect with the customers who either come into their premises or who walk past.

By combining this BeaconGo app with very affordable sensors that you place around your store or restaurant, retailers will know exactly where customers are in their store – and can automatically send promotional content to their smart devices.

Whether you're a coffee shop owner, looking to attract passing trade, or a retailer with in-store promotions to highlight – understanding and using BLE technology is vital.

This app demonstrates to developers and retailers exactly how the system works. It uses a new kind of technology, known as BLE, to target a shopper’s location down not only to the store he or she is in, but the product being examined. By being able to tap into the consumer’s needs at the granular level, the possibilities for marketing and customer service are endless.

For example, BLE can offer customers a coupon if they walk away from the couch they were looking at, or, once the purchase is made, suggest which pillows to go with it. Shoppers can be offered instant loyalty cards when they cross the threshold of a store, or be pointed in the direction of products they’ve purchased in the past. This app allows retailers to reach and target customers like never before.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
